im 25, my boyfriend is 21,and he has always been a bit paranoid about my best friend even though he has only seen him at work, and not spoken to him..my best friend and i get along SO well, ive known him for 3 years, and he was one of my first friends when i moved to scotland.its like ive known him forever, we can sit for hours and talk, without realizing the time, and have so much fun. there is honestly no attraction there whatsoever, but he would do anything for me and visa versa.
my boyfriend and i have been dating nearly a year, i don’t normally do this but he moved in with me after 3 months. we get along, there is a huge culture difference,(im English, he is Bulgarian) but i don’t mind that, and i find him incredibly hot, and funny/sweet at times. but he is lazy, and selfish, and expects me to cook clean etc all the time, while he sits in bed looking at online comics.
but he got jealous of my best mate, coz we usually spend one dayof the weekend together watching films (my boyfriend only works weekends) so all the other time im with my bf. he has moved out 5 times in 2 months and then moved back, because he blames me for his problems, or due to the fact he cant stand my friend, and asked me not go round his house anymore.(and he is not allowed round mine) i eventually agreed, so now we just go clubbing, or casino etc, but last night i came back and all his things were moved out again, with a stupid message left on my computer saying its over and he cant do this anymore. that he is ruining my dreams and that we were over a long time agohe texted me, .i textd him and he says its him or my best friend, no questions, no fights. i heard this once before and stood my ground, and he did eventually come back, saying he loves me, but he seemed to be a different person then(4 months in our relationship) to what he is now etc. thing is, im all alone now, in a 3 bed flat, a week before xmas, and i just found out im pregnant!! :/ things cant get worse.
i really don’t want to loose my boyfriend or my best friend, they are the two people i care about most in the world.
im trying to think logically, my boyfriend doesn’t really have potential, i don’t really trust him because he believes, and i quote ‘guys and girls cant be friends, because they just end up f***ing eahother’ he calls me fat, when im really not, he is controlling i know, he has never been romantic, but im worried that if i ignore him and let this die down, he wont come back this time, even though he reliese on me for food, bills etc, as he only works weekends, and doesn’t really have cash, also i know he likes being looked after
please, i don’t know what to do, any advice would be fantastic. thanks

Talk to him not to us. He is very paranoid, but you must understand the jealously some boys have. I am a boy and I always want all the attention. It is a bit pathetic but that is how some of us are. I guess it has to do with male dominance. By nature, we do not want our mates spending times with other males, you catch my drift? So that might be that. All boys might be like that. and perhaps your best friend may not like your boyfriend for the same reason. So, now that you have a boyfriend you may want to reduce the time you spend with your friend.
But, now, since you say he is controlling, lazy, and apparently arrogant, i reject my first comment. I know it is hard, but if you only like him because he is hot, then that is not a good reason enough to date him. you have to get a real man. A man that respects you. Who doesnt expect anything from you but the attention and love couples give each other.
I know it is hard, but I feel he is not the one for you. He doesn’t seem like he wants you, or has deep feelings. You must get that. you must find someone who doesn’t call you fat. Who cooks for you poorly lol. Someone who is romantic, or tries to be. No guy is perfect. If all he wants you for is food, money, and a place to stay, dump him. He should want you for you good looks, for your attention for you love. Because if he is like this, he will not be a good father. I know it is very hard, the child iwll not have a father, but I would prefer no father over a terrible father anytime. Please, do not stay with him only because you are pregnant with is child. Please, you have control too. he doesn’t seem the right one for you. if you rely on emotional needs on your best friend than your boyfriend, then you should not be with your boyfriend.

No more and no less.

HOWEVER, if instead you walked up to a table and were wondering, “In these next 2 spins in a row, what are the odds of hitting specifically the number “16″ on BOTH spins?”, that would be different.

The odds against you hitting 2 specific numbers 2 times in a row are 1,443 to 1 against you. (1 out of 1,444 is the chance.)

Again, this is the same for ANY number. Not just 16, of course.

College student. Made 2k in summer. Live with parents, so I have no real expenses. Recently I made another $600. Now I want to take that money to the casino. There is an 18+ Indian casino 75 miles away.

My parents will never OK it, so I wanted to ditch school for a day and go gamble. Play the low-limit poker games.

On a scale of 1-10, how stupid would that be?

It would be stupid to blow all of it.
Take like $500 and that’s all. Keep everything else in the bank. If you blow 500, who cares. If you turn it into profit, good for you.

You would think that a smart person would say “very stupid,” but it really depends on how much you intend to limit-out with.

That requires quite a bit of discipline and discernment.

Usually some people get caught up in the “just another dollar” idea… until it is all gone.

You could theorize that there are only two types of people, those that spend none on gambling… and those that spend all… but a balance is achievable… but I think that this fact is what makes the 2nd party, those that spend all… keep going.

At that point professional help is required.

At the same time, the “no income” aspect of your question also has many qualifications.

Do you have any bills?

Do you have any aspirations that require saved money?

You mentioned living with your parents.

If you have no bills then the $2000 is basically free money… UNLESS, again, you have plans and are (or can) save up for them.

Spend (gamble) $20. put the rest to better use.

Every game at a casino has a “house advantage” every one of them. Chances are you will lose unless you get lucky. Better to do some research and invest in a good stock where the odds are you will win. Going to the casino? 10 stupid.

I will not provide a rating because it is your money but I will say that keeping it in the bank would be good and continue to add to it, just because you do not have any “real expenses” doesn’t mean you shouldn’t save.

Take 1000 bucks(the required starting amount) and invest in a Roth IRA
Leave the other 1000 in the bank or credit union.

That is exactly what happened to Behar Merlaku when he was playing at an Austrian casino, but instead of walking out of the casino with $58 million (43 million euros), he was offered $100 and a free meal.
Merlaku, a Swiss national, was playing when he saw four out of five matches appear earlier this year. Even though the machine told him he won, the casino bosses said the jackpot was due to a "software error."

"When I won I was ecstatic and of course I relied upon it being a real jackpot which it was. I saw it on the screen," he said to Austrian newspaper Heute according to the Austrian Times. "But then the disappointment came when two casino workers came to me and said there was a software error. They took me for a fool which I am not. I’ve played in many casinos and I know the way the cookie crumbles. It doesn’t concern me if they have a software problem."
Now Merlaku is about to launch a lawsuit against the casino and go after his winnings. According to the Daily Mail, Merlaku’s lawyers say he is entitled to the money because that is what the machine said.

When the casino offered him the small amount of money and food as compensation he rejected the offer and was banned from the casino. He said that since the incident he hasn’t be able to sleep and constantly thinks about the injustice.
The same thing happened to an Ontario gambler in 2009. An OLG floor attendant initially told Kusznirewicz to go to the winners circle, but other employees soon after told him he wouldn’t receive any money because of a "machine malfunction."

Similarly, they offered him a free dinner at the buffet. Kusznirewicz also claimed to suffer from anxiety, depression and insomnia from the incident. He hired a lawyer and sued the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.
As for Merlaku, he will do what it takes to get his money.
"I will fight for this until my death," he said in an Austrian Times article. "It is outrageous what they have done to me and my family. I want to spread what happened to me all over Europe. I don’t accept it."

According to Austrian law, jackpots can’t normally be higher than two million euros.
Merlaku will launch the lawsuit next month, which is sure to be watched by gaming operators around the world.

I never sued because it would probably cost more to sue but some people like me win but the the casino’s wont give them money
my question if you didnt see or feel it why do casinos and people who run gambling have the right not to give you the money?
If you won who cares about software its the casino’s job to look after the gamling and slot machines

EDIT: If an ATM malfunctions and gives you 20,000 when you asked for 200… the bank can (and will) come for the money. You can’t keep it because of a malfunction. Same thing. I assume in the lawsuit it’ll be proven that there was a malfunction.

Well if said ”malfunction” dies exist. It should have been fixed or they should be shut down. That is alot of money that has been cheated from people. I do not believe a bit of the ”malfunction”. The casino is entitled to pay any money won from the machines. If there is a malfuntion then its not the players fault. They should have to recieve the money because they spent thier ,oney to play at the casino so if they win without purposly cheating then the have to be paid. The casino should be sewed and shut down.
Sorry to hear that you lost your money..I think you should do check the history of casino sites that they really pay..

On all slot machines, usually any kind of malfunction automatically voids all pays and current plays, if the casino can prove the machine had malfunctioned, then they are in the right, if they can not, then you are.

I have witnessed several jackpots won over the last few years, never once was any of them denied to the winner. I have heard about similar things happening but never witnessed it.

I love my best friend but lately she has been making some remarks directed at me which bother me,although I know she doesnt realize it.

for instance I work in a casino and there was an issue one day,a regular customer who was in jail for murdering somebody was loosing his money,apartments,cars and he was yelling all morning,drunk and kept on drinking,getting into fights,breaking things in the casino,an d he went behind the bar where I am working and put his arms around me,saying how Im so sweet and honest and how Im a nice girl and how he will protect me if someone wants to harm me some othert things,and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

my best friends comment was ” Omg how could you have let him touch you? ”
or she works in another place and she said ”and I asked my manager what does she think about casinos and working in hem and all,and she didnt seem happy,like she kind of wanted to alude that thatsnot the place for us,well,at least not for me…”

next…one of the customers told me they will I quote ” take me to Holland ” which I found hillarious to what my best friend said something of the like ” oh God, how horrible,he was basically talking to you like a slut just cause you work there I would never allow someone to say that to me”

Sounds like your friend is jealous of the attention your getting! There’s nothing wrong with working at a casino. Your friend shouldn’t look down on you bc of your occupation. You need to be upfront to them and tell them how it makes you feel when they say stuff like that. Your friends shouldn’t make you feel bad about yourself!
She doesn’t seem like the nicest person there is. I’m sure you know most of those people are probably drunk being in a casino, making them say awkward and unusual things like they did. Although she may have a point that you shouldn’t of let the man get behind the counter and hug you, that doesn’t mean she has to make those remarks. It’s rude and that is your business. If it bothers you, talk to her.
to me it seems that she doesn’t respect you cause you work in bar.she is going by your work and not by nature.sorry to hurt you but this is what i could analyze. she should listen to your everyday experience in the bar and hear what you think on that statements and express her opinions.
